Exciting news! Our “Tiger View Home ” has earned the 2024 NKBA Puget Sound People’s Choice Award in the Other Room category. It’s incredibly rewarding to see this project recognized by the National Kitchen & Bath Association for its design-forward thinking and creative execution. Every detail in this space reflects heart, vision, and a passion for craft.

A Home Rooted in Warmth and Character

Led by our Principal Designer Shefali Thomas, Design & Elevate approached the Tiger View Home with a clear goal: to preserve its natural beauty while enhancing it with thoughtful, contemporary design. Every original feature was honored, and reimagined. “We wanted every room to feel interconnected yet individually defined, like chapters of the same story,” says Shefali.

Auxiliary Kitchen Bar Room: Organic Beauty and Modern Luxury

The basement redesign centered around showcasing the owners’ love for travel and collected mementos. A separate kitchen was key—perfect for guests, ideal for game-day drinks, and ready for the demands of seasonal hosting. This kitchen design strikes a refined balance between modern sophistication and vintage charm. Hidden appliances, spotlighted glass cabinets, and open shelving bring both elegance and function to the space

Elegant Fixtures & Expressive Shelving

Elegant brass fixtures and hardware add a touch of warmth and understated glamour, seamlessly tying the elements together. The glass-front upper cabinet and open wood shelving offer opportunities to display curated décor and barware, infusing the space with openness and personal expression.

Thoughtfully composed, this kitchen embodies a perfect blend of functionality, style, and character—ideal for a chic, inviting culinary retreat.

Tiger View: Mood Board

Deep green cabinetry anchors the room with a grounding calm, while warm walnut butcher block countertop adds artisanal richness. The black tile backsplash and sleek sink introduce contemporary contrast, softened by brushed brass fixtures that tie the entire space together. From the expressive shelving to the choice of materials, every detail was handpicked to create a timeless yet personal kitchen bar, where luxury meets laid-back charm.
